I've done many types
of exercise regiments including yoga, step aerobics and Jazzercise.
I've been doing pilates with Leslie Anthony for 2 years now and
feel that the results in weight control and physical strength is
better than any of the other things I've tried. I've had numerous
comments on how good I look. With the abdominal strength that Pilates quickly created, my once weekly trips to the chiropractor have substantially decreased. I’m lighter on my feet with a flatter belly and leaner physique – and with very little effort on my (lazy) part! Even being exercise-adverse, I love Pilates. | Pilates is great for my lower back
problems! After 10 years of lackluster results from traditional
back exercises and basic physical therapy,
I
finally
found Pilates and am having solid results. I am much stronger than when I started
2 years ago, and I am able to do activities I couldn't finish even last year.
I think the combination of the core strengthening and stretching
is the best thing I could have done as “therapy” and I can't imagine

When I started Pilates in June 2002, Leslie thought I wouldn't make it. I couldn't even do a roll up. But from what I understood of Pilates and core conditioning, I knew it was what my body needed. Gradually I began to "get it." I had thought that I was genetically predisposed to look like my mother with a Humpty Dumpty shape -- thin legs and arms with a fat torso. I hated photographs of myself. (When did I start to look like my mother?) By the end of the summer, I could see a visible difference. My abdomen was beginning to tighten. It was so motivating. My daughter puts her arm around me and says to her friends, "Doesn't
